    Mike Cameron singled home Russell Branyan with one out in the top of the ninth to lift the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks Wednesday night. Cameron finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Rickie Weeks added his first career pinch-hit home run for the Brewers, who rallied from a 2-0 deficit for their second straight win.

    J.J. Hardy homered twice and the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-6 on Tuesday night, handing Randy Johnson his sixth straight loss. Joe Dillon also homered for the Brewers, who beat Arizona for the fourth time in five meetings. The NL West leaders dropped to 42-42 and saw their lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers shrink to 2 1/2 games.

    Diamondbacks put Byrnes, Snyder on 15-day DL (AP)

    On a painful day in the desert, the Arizona Diamondbacks put left fielder Eric Byrnes and catcher Chris Snyder on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday. Byrnes is out with a strained left hamstring, Snyder with a left testicular fracture. For Byrnes, the move comes eight days after he came off the DL, where he spent a month with injuries to both hamstrings.
