Arizona promotes RHP Rosales, sends Buckner to minors (AP)
In a move to bolster their overworked bullpen, the Arizona Diamondbacks recalled right-hander Leo Rosales and optioned righty Billy Buckner to Triple-A Tucson on Sunday. The 27-year-old Rosales, who had not appeared in a major league game, was in the bullpen for Sunday afternoon’s game against Kansas City at Chase Field.

Diamondbacks option RHP Scherzer (AP)
The Arizona Diamondbacks optioned heralded right-hander Max Scherzer to Triple-A Tucson before Friday night’s game against the Kansas City Royals. Scherzer, the Diamondbacks’ top pick in the 2006 amateur draft, was 0-2 with a 2.90 ERA in 10 appearances, including three starts, for Arizona.
