Byrnes hits first slam, Arizona beats Braves 9-3 (AP)
Eric Byrnes failed to come through with the bases loaded in the third inning. He didn’t waste another chance in the fifth. Byrnes hit his first career grand slam to knock Tom Glavine out of the game and power the Arizona Diamondbacks past the Atlanta Braves 9-3 on Sunday.

Francoeur’s HR off Qualls leads Braves over Diamondbacks 3-1 (AP)
Jeff Francoeur hit a game-ending, two-run homer off Chad Qualls in the ninth inning, and the Atlanta Braves overcame a sparkling 10-strikeout performance by Randy Johnson to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-1 Saturday. Johnson reached double-digits in strikeouts for the 210th time, five behind Nolan Ryan’s record for games with 10 or more strikeouts.
