At 6-foot-5, Carlos Zambrano is an intimidating presence on the mound. He’s also an imposing figure in the batter’s box. The Chicago Cubs’ ace homered and worked three scoreless innings in a 5-4 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday. In the top of the third, Zambrano hit a two-strike pitch from 2006 first-round pick Max Scherzer well beyond the 388-foot sign in right-center field.
