The Arizona Diamondbacks placed third baseman Chad Tracy on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a strained left rib cage and promoted Mark Reynolds from Double-A Mobile to take his roster spot. Tracy got hurt Saturday against Houston and aggravated the injury Tuesday night at Colorado. “With Tracy’s situation, it got to a point where we had to do something,” manager Bob Melvin said.
