Carlos Quentin deserved to be in the big leagues at the start of last season. Arizona manager Bob Melvin and general manager Josh Byrnes agree on that. Caught in a numbers game, with veterans ahead of him, Quentin had to wait not-so-patiently at Triple-A Tucson. When he got his chance late last July, he made the most of it.
