Arizona agrees to deals with 2 arbitration-eligible pitchers (AP)
Right-handers Juan Cruz and Jorge Julio agreed Friday to one-year contracts with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Cruz agreed at $1,437,500, up from $575,000 last season. Julio got a $3.6 million deal, an increase from the $2,525,000 he made last year. Cruz was 5-6 with a 4.18 ERA in 31 games last season, 15 as a starter.
